Forgive the fucking ad before this video. I fucking hate embedded ads, but what can I do. This video is an awesome little encapsulation of bike messengers in Manhattan in 1985.

Fuck this fuckin' bike pump!

It just took me about 45 minutes to inflate one tire. I took this shitty pump from my parents house a while back. As far back as I can remember they've owned it. Now I do. Some background: the label says "K-Mart Corporation 1985". I think it's safe to assume this thing was relatively shitty when it was purchased. Time has not helped this. The plunger inside is old and soft and doesn't form a tight seal. The shitty fucking result of this is that when you push the handle down it's about a 50/50 shot of you pushing any air into the tire or just pushing against nothing and almost falling over. All the while air is leaking out of the tire because of the crappy connection the old pump makes with the tire valve. Fuck that infuriating thing.

This is basically how I look everyday.

Forgive the Eagles' blanket and Scarface dart board, they are not mine. Actually, none of the stuff in the background is mine, with the obvious exception of the bike. Also, Melissa, if you'll look closely you'll see I'm wearing your socks.

The sand sculpture appears to be a bunch of Philly iconic symbols with dinosaurs and a Phillies logo thrown in for good measure. Your guess is as good as mine. I've always really liked that carousel.

This may or may not be my head wound.

So, I hadn't looked at the pictures on this SD card in at least a year. This was on it. I have to assume it's my head, but it might not be. If it's not I don't know whose head it would be. I have no recollection of receiving this head wound, but perhaps the picture explains that.
UPDATE: After some deliberation we have come to the conclusion that this is actually my friend Greg's head. He went out on a date with a crazy girl and ended up with 5 staples in his head. If you ever run into him, ask him to tell you the story. It's worth hearing.
